Coltech Computer Training is a South African software and training company based in Pretoria. Founded in January 1990, it supplies management software, cloud hosting, support and training to TVET colleges, private colleges and examination councils.

Coltech Computer Training, was established in January 1990 with the aim to provide computer training to staff members of Technical Colleges.
In June 1991 Coltech bought a DOS Administration System with all rights, which was used by five colleges.
The Coltech System was redeveloped and improved. Reference manuals and training manuals were written which led to the implementation of the first Coltech System in June 1992 at these five Colleges.
Since 1993 up to 2000, the number of Technical Colleges using the Coltech System increased to more than 110.
During 1998/9 Coltech made all changes needed to ensure that all our systems were year-2000 compliant.
A new system for Colleges of Education was developed during 1993. There were more than 30 Colleges of Education using the system before they merged with Technikons and/or Universities in 2001.
During 2000/1 the Coltech DOS System was completely re-developed into a Windows-Based System.
The first Coltech Windows System was implemented in January 2002. This System was installed at more than 30 FET Colleges (more than 100 campuses) during 2002 to 2007.
The Coltech Management System was upgraded to a SQL (Structured Query Language) version during 2006/7. This SQL version was implemented during the latter part of 2007.
We re-developed all the Reports with Crystal Report Writer to accommodate the new SQL databases.
During 2015 we started to do all development in a WEB-environment, using Microsoft’s C# and other utilities and tools.
A WEB-based Coltech Statistical Dashboard was developed and implemented during 2015.
Today all new development is done for a WEB-environment.
